for Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP MHTC.NET is used as an example and should be substituted for your Domain



1.  To configure the e-mail settings for Eudora, you must first open the Eudora program. Then click the "Tools" menu at the top of the program window, and choose "Options..." as shown below. That will open another window titled "Options." Proceed to step #2.


2.    In the Options window, you will see a column of icons on the left-hand side. Scroll to the very top of the column, and click on the very first icon at the top, named "Getting Started." Each of the blanks on the right-hand side should be filled with the pertinent information. For "Real Name" make sure you have entered whatever you'd like people to see when they receive email from you. In the "Return Address" field please check to ensure that your email address is entered with all lowercase letters and no spaces or additional characters. The "Mail Server (Incoming)" should be listed as "mail.yourdomain.net" as displayed below. Check and make sure that your username is entered in all lowercase letters in the "Login Name" area. Finally, the "SMTP Server (Outgoing)" should read "smtp.yourdomain.net". Once your window resembles the one displayed below, click the "Checking Mail" icon on the left.


3.  Now, review the settings that you see displayed in your window. The "Mail Server" should read "mail.yourdomain.net". Check and make sure that your username is entered in all lowercase letters in the "Login Name" area. If you wish, the "Save password" field can be checked and Eudora will remember your email password instead of asking you to enter it each time you check your email. click on the "Incoming Mail" icon on the left to proceed.


4.  Next, compare the window displayed below with what you see on your computer screen. When your window appears exactly as the one displayed below click on the "Sending Mail" icon on the left. Proceed to step #5.


5.   To complete the process, ensure that your email address is entered in the "Return Address" area. The rest of your window should appear exactly as displayed below. Click "OK". To save your settings, close the Eudora program and restart your computer.
